The answer would be "plant-like protists". These protists make their energy on sunlight. This would make them a protist and a plant-like cell.

Answer:

Photosynthesis. Protists are food producers like plants, they can generate their food by themselves through the process of photosynthesis.

Explanation:

PROTISTS

Protists are eukaryotes that have a nucleus containing their DNA. They possessed membrane-bound organelles, like mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum.  They are most often than not single-celled, though some are multicellular. The protist kingdom is so diverse because their ways of getting food and reproducing vary widely. They require a moist environment to live so most are aquatic. They can be found in lakes, ocean or damp soil. Some live in or on other organisms while others are free-living. Some protists are more closely related to plants or animals than they are to other protists. Protists are re unicellular as opposed to multicellular plants. Plants are complex and big while protists are microscopic. They are also capable of movement which plants cannot. Protists have complex life cycles. Many have both asexual and sexual reproduction. Examples of protest are; Spirogyra, Euglena, Amoeba, and Paramecium.

Protists can get their food in different ways. They may ingest or engulf smaller particles like bacteria. This is achieved by extending its cell wall around the food item to form vacuole. They may absorb food molecules across their cell wall by process of diffusion. Finally, they can generate their food use in light via photosynthesis.

This process of photosynthesis in which they can generate food like plants makes them suitable for point X in the diagram showing the branches tree for four kingdoms.

Typically when we think about extreme weather, we think about the effect of weather on humans and other life forms. However, weather events also greatly impact non-living things. Freeze and thaw cycles tend to break up rocks, weathering them physically. Landscape erosion can be greatly enhanced by storms because rivers and streams are able to transport larger amounts and larger sizes of material than they otherwise would, due to faster flow velocities. Sand at beaches is carried away by strong storms until it can be replenished over time. Sediments become hydrated during rainfall events, which can result in landslides and land movement. Many of these processes can create hazards for humans, but the physical landscape is very much shaped by extreme weather events. Weather is weather, which is nonliving. Erosion is affected by weather, the more rain there is, the more erosion. The more temperatures change, the more erosion because things swell as they warm up and shrink as they cool off, which can cause them to break.

Hurricane affects come from both wind and water impacts. Wind and waves break coral, damaging it or forcing it on shore and disrupting the ocean ecosystem. Fish and benthic organisms face turbulent conditions due to waves and wind. ... Winds dislocate sea and migratory birds caught in the eye of the storm.

Some examples of non-living things include rocks, water, weather, climate, and natural events such as rockfalls or earthquakes. Living things are defined by a set of characteristics including the ability to reproduce, grow, move, breathe, adapt or respond to their environment. Extreme heat causes lakes and rivers to dry up. Some kinds of earth can also dry up so much that it gets cracked.

Extreme rainfall causes floods and landslides.

Extreme cold can cause rocks to break, when the water that leaked into cracks in the rock freezes and expands.

If I knew more about the water cycle, I might be able to tell you more about how extreme weather affects clouds and other parts of the water cycle.

Why adaptation is important for living beings
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

Adaption is needed for a living thing to strive in a system, its how they survive.

Explanation:

Adaptation is needed to survive. This includes climate, predators around it etc. For example polar bears. Polar bears adapt to their environment by growing thick coats of fur. These coats keep the bears warm.Without it they would die.

Discuss why prokaryotic cells probably appeared before eukaryotic cells
dsp73

Answer:

Prokaryotes are smaller and less developed compared to eukaryotes. Some of them inhabit very primitive environments that resemble earth’s early stages. Endosymbiotic theory states that eukaryotes arose by the endosymbiosis of prokaryotes.

Explanation

By endosymbiont theory, eukaryotic cells arise from prokaryotic cells. Here, the theory shows that eukaryotic ancestors lived in close association with prokaryotes, wherein in some cases, prokaryotes have been engulfed and might have lived inside eukaryotes.

Upon being engulfed by a host cell as undigested prey, these prokaryotes could have been internal parasites of the eukaryotes. But, later on, their relationship becomes mutualistic and these prokaryotes become incorporated as organelles, such as in the case of chloroplasts and mitochondria, which were previously separate prokaryotes
