The answer would be "plant-like protists". These protists make their energy on sunlight. This would make them a protist and a plant-like cell.

Answer:

Photosynthesis. Protists are food producers like plants, they can generate their food by themselves through the process of photosynthesis.

Explanation:

PROTISTS

Protists are eukaryotes that have a nucleus containing their DNA. They possessed membrane-bound organelles, like mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum.  They are most often than not single-celled, though some are multicellular. The protist kingdom is so diverse because their ways of getting food and reproducing vary widely. They require a moist environment to live so most are aquatic. They can be found in lakes, ocean or damp soil. Some live in or on other organisms while others are free-living. Some protists are more closely related to plants or animals than they are to other protists. Protists are re unicellular as opposed to multicellular plants. Plants are complex and big while protists are microscopic. They are also capable of movement which plants cannot. Protists have complex life cycles. Many have both asexual and sexual reproduction. Examples of protest are; Spirogyra, Euglena, Amoeba, and Paramecium.

Protists can get their food in different ways. They may ingest or engulf smaller particles like bacteria. This is achieved by extending its cell wall around the food item to form vacuole. They may absorb food molecules across their cell wall by process of diffusion. Finally, they can generate their food use in light via photosynthesis.

This process of photosynthesis in which they can generate food like plants makes them suitable for point X in the diagram showing the branches tree for four kingdoms.

The following F2 results occur from a dihybrid cross (AaBb x AaBb): purple: A_B_ 9/16 white: aaB_ 3/16 white: A_bb 3/16 white: a
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

b. 3 (whilte) : 1(purple)

Explanation:

The first dihybrid crossing is between AaBb x AaBb

Now, if the double heterozygous traits self crossed, we have the following gametes shown below for the F₂ crossing.

AaBb = (AB, Ab, aB, ab)

                    AB                     Ab                     aB                     ab

AB                AABB                AABb                AaBB                AaBb

Ab                AABb                AAbb                AaBb                Aabb

aB                AaBB                 AaBb                aaBB                aaBb

ab                AaBb                 Aabb                 aaBb                aabb

We were being told that the results are;

purple: A_B_ 9/16

white: aaB_ 3/16

white: A_bb 3/16

white: aabb 1/16

From above, we can see that the same is true;

For Purple color; we Have (AABB and AaBb) since A is dominant to a and B is dominant to b.

∴ From the above punnet square; we have 9 purple colors which are:

(AABB, AABb, AaBB, AaBb, AABb, AaBb, AaBB, AaBb, AaBb) = 9/16

white: aaB_ ( since B is dominant to b, it can be either BB or Bb)

= (aaBB, aaBb, aaBb) = 3/16

white: A_bb ( since A is dominant to a, it can be either AA or Aa)

= (AAbb, Aabb, Aabb) = 3/16

white: aabb i.e homozygous recessive = (aabb) = 1/16

Furthermore, the question goes further by saying:

If a double heterozygote (AaBb) is crossed with a fully recessive organism (aabb), what phenotypic ratio is expected in the offspring?

If AaBb self crossed, we have:  (AB, Ab, aB, ab)

If aabb self crossed, we have: (ab, ab, ab, ab)

                    AB                     Ab                     aB                     ab

ab                AaBb                Aabb                aaBb                 aabb

ab                AaBb                Aabb                aaBb                 aabb

ab                AaBb                 Aabb               aaBb                 aabb

ab                AaBb                 Aabb                aaBb                aabb

AaBb ( purple)

= 4/16

= 1/4

= 0.25

= 25%

Aabb (white)

= 4/16

= 1/4

= 0.25

= 25%

aaBb (white)

= 4/16

= 1/4

= 0.25

= 25%

aabb (white)

= 4/16

= 1/4

= 0.25

= 25%

Now the proportion of white to purple =  (25%+25%+25%): 25%

=  75%:25%

= 3(white):1(purple)

We can therefore conclude that the expected phenotypic ratio in the cross between a double heterozygote (AaBb) with a fully recessive organism (aabb) yeids;

3 (whilte) : 1(purple)

Continuous rotation of the CT x-ray tube and detector array, with simultaneous movement of the CT couch, has been accomplished t
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

The options

A. Additional cables

B. Slip rings

C. Multiple rows of detectors

D. Electron beam CT.

The CORRECT ANSWER IS B.

B. Slip rings

Explanation:

During the 1990s, the use of slip ring technology promoted consecutive rotation of the x-ray tube (via removal of cables) and concurrent couch locomotion.

The Sixth-generation CT scanning is referred to as helical (or spiral) CT—allowing procurement of volume multislice scanning.

Today's helical multislice scanners, makes use of thousands of detectors (around 60+ rows), can derive continuous data procurement of 128 "slices" per tube rotation and can undergo 3D multiplanar reformation (MPR).

Fifth-generation CT employs electron beam; as the ultra high-speed CT is employed majorly for cardiac imaging.

Which of the following is not a physical property of iron? conductivity ability to rust color melting point
katen-ka-za [31]
First, a physical property just identifies it's state, how it looks, color, and that stuff. Let's work on finding that.

⇔ Ability to rust wouldn't work as a physical property. That one changes the substance, making it a chemical change. So, we know that this can certainly be our answer!

What did Charles Darwin conclude during his visit to the Galapagos islands?
harina [27]
Darwin finally consolidated all of his observations into his famous book On The Origin of Species, drastically and controversially altering the scientific view on the biological origins of life. I learned this a little while ago in my school, I kept notes!! Hope this helps!! <3
