Answer: 3/22

Firstly find out how many people do either Drama or Sports so we can single out who does neither.

The 60 kids that do both drama AND sports don't count because every one of them already fits into either Drama or Sports, therefore by counting the 60 we would be counting some students twice. 85 + 200 = 285

To find the kids that do neither, do 330 - 285 = 45

So 45 is the amount of kids that don't do Sports OR Drama. The probability would be the amount of kids that do neither OUT OF the total amount of kids, which is 45/330. You can simplify this fraction to 3/22.

Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Rafaela is a physical education teacher and has 25 girls and 35 boys in her class.

She wants to divide the class into teams of the same size, where each team has the same number of girls and the same number of boys. If Rafaela creates the greatest number of teams possible, how many boys will be on each team?

Here we find Highest common factor for 25 and 35 and it is 5

So 5 boys will be on each team (with 7 girls)

2) length I = 7m, x12 m and height = 3mx85 cm.

The longest tape would be the highest common factor of 12 and 85

Since it is 1, only 1 cm long tape can be used.

A music industry researcher wants to estimate, with a 90% confidence level, the proportion of young urban people (ages 21 to 35
Maslowich

Answer:

1,539

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Simple Random Sampling in an infinite population (this is such a large population that we do not know the exact number) we have that the sample size should be the nearest integer to

\large \frac{Z^2pq}{e^2}

where

Z= the z-score corresponding to the confidence level, in this case 90%, so Z=1.645 (this means that the area under the Normal N(0,1) between [-1.645,1.645] is 90%=0.9)

p= the proportion of young urban people (ages 21 to 35 years) who go to at least 3 concerts a year= 35% = 0.35

q = 1-p = 0.65

e = the error proportion = 2% = 0.02

Making the calculations

\large \frac{Z^2pq}{e^2}=\frac{(1.645)^2*0.35*0.65}{(0.02)^2}=1,539.09

So, the sample size should be 1,539 young urban people (ages 21 to 35 years)
