Saddam Hussein was not removed from power in Iraq.

Saddam Hussein continued to be the leader of Iraq and an aggressive threat to the Middle East including his own country. The war caused Hussein to close ranks even further preventing the UN from doing weapons inspection. Eventually, his behavior and weapon holdings would provoke an attack by the US under George W Bush.

Treaty: If the French, who started the war, had stayed out of treaty negotiations, the US could have more easily pushed through there less punitive plan. Germany would not have faced unrealizable actions, and their economy would not have been destroyed.

LON: The US had no place in the League of Nations. LON was a European matter. Had the US joined, there would have been an unfair balance of power, BUT US involvement in WWII would have been near instantneous.

With the invention of the printing press the knowledge was made easier to spread which led to greater education and greater social mobility. This also made the Bible accessible to more people. People were looking for more personalized approach to their spiritual needs. It was Martin Luther who made openly challenged the teachings of the Catholic Church by posting his famous thesis against the selling of indulgences. After they branded him a heretic he denied the idea that the Church is a mediator between God and man.
