President Hoover believed that the government should respond to the Great Depression by ??
swat32

The government represented by president Hoover in the fall of 1929, responded to the Great Depression; wide spreading unemployment during the 1930s and exacerbating an already difficult situation. The government spent millions of dollars on various relief programs. Most, however, were ineffective. Dole rations, for example, were heavily policed and much too small to live on; land settlement also ended in failure. At the same time the government increased relief spending, it also contributed to the crisis by laying off employees and making cuts to health care, education, and other social programs.

Which group sought religious freedom in the New England colonies? 1 Quakers 2 Pilgrims 3 Enslaved Africans 4 Prisoners
True [87]

The correct answer is number 2) Pilgrims.

The group that sought religious freedom in the New England colonies were the Pilgrims.

The Puritans and the Pilgrims came to North America to escape religious persecution. Puritans' and Pilgrims' ideas have had a major impact on the social norms of New England.

Both groups faced many problems in Britain because they had major differences with the Church of England. So they decided to travel to the Americas to find a place where they could live their religious principles with no persecution. They arrive in Massachusetts and founded the colony of Plymouth in 1620, and years later, the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1629.

Why is my friend justin cracked at fortnite?
Cloud [144]

Answer:

Because he is taken.

Explanation:

My interpretation of this philosophical clip is that Justin, the boy’s friend is “taken” by the grips of the video game Fortnite. We are following Justin’s is in a downward spiral into addiction. Eventually, his previously mentioned friend exclaims he is “cracked” at Fortnite. Now, this can be given many meanings, however the one that stuck out most to me is that eventually, Justin hits rock bottom, and cracks. Now, at this point Justin’s friend, who seems to be narrating Justin’s descent into madness makes abhorrent moaning noises. To me, this represents what is happening in Justin’s mind. He can’t escape his crippling Fortnite addiction. He doesn’t even gain happiness from playing anymore, yet he can’t stop. The moaning noises aren’t indicative of sexual pleasure, but cries for help.
