nataly862011 [7]
The slave voyage to the Americas, was referred to as "The Middle Passage". This is due to the fact that in the triangle of trade that had been established with European Nations and the Americas, the slave route was in the middle. Starting in Europe, sailors would arrive in Africa, collect slaves to be delivered to the New World. The sailors would drop off the slaves and pick up raw goods from the colonies and then bring them back to Europe, starting the cycle again.

Which of the following statements is true about Germany’s use of u-boats
Pani-rosa [81]

Answer: U-boats sank ships carrying civilians.

U-boat is a term that refers to military submarines operated by Germany during the First and Second World Wars. The primary targets of the u-boat campaigns were merchant convoys from the British Empire and the United States to the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union and the Allied territories in the Mediterranean.

However, u-boats occasionally attacked ships carrying civilians. One of the most renowed examples was that of the liner RMS Lusitania on May 7, 1915. The sinking claimed 1,198 lives, 128 of them American civilians.

How was early Indian culture influenced by religion and social structure?
lapo4ka [179]

The influence of religion and social structure on early Indian culture cannot be overemphasized. In the times of the Maurya and Gupta empires, the Indian culture was profoundly influenced by Hinduism, a religion that reinforced a strict social hierarchy called “caste system”. This made it virtually impossible for anyone to move outside of his or her social station. The emperors in fact, used Hinduism as a unifying religion and focused on Hinduism as a means for personal salvation.
