Why are both biotic and abiotic features important in ecosystems and biomes?
Sati [7]

Answer:

Hope this is helpful! Sorry if my answer is choppy.

Explanation:

Biotic and abiotic features are both important in ecosystems because for example, a biotic factor like a plant, relies on an abiotic factors like the rain and the sun. If the rain were non existent, then the plants would no longer be alive causing a chain reaction in the food system. Biotic factors like plants and animals that are non existent can also cause negative effects in biomes and ecosystems.

Advantages of constant body temperaure
Leya [2.2K]
Proteins function optimally at a specific temperature. So if you get too hot or too cold, biochemical reactions in your body start to function less well. If the situation becomes extreme enough, they can cease to function well enough to sustain life.

Warm-blooded animals have an advantage over cold-blooded ones in that their bodies automatically try to maintain the optimal termperature for things in their bodies to function. Cold-blooded animals depend on the environmental temperature to do this for them. That's why reptiles are very sluggish when they're cold, but will "wake up" when they get warm.

The cost to this benefit is that metabolically, warm-blooded animals require a lot more fuel to run their bodies. It's very energy-intensive to maintain a constant body temperature. Cold-blooded animals require far less fuel than warm-blooded ones relative to their size.

The way that proteins operate in a specific temperature is also true of the pH in your body which is also very tightly maintained.

If the DNA sequence TTCACG is transcribed to AAGGC, what type of mutation has occurred?
SashulF [63]
Insertion

Genetic stability maintenance  requires an extremely accurate mechanism for DNA replication and mechanisms for fixing the several accidental lesions that occur continually in DNA.  Spontaneous changes in DNA are temporary due to immediate correction process called DNA repair. DNA repair’s importance is very evident from the huge investment that cells form in DNA repair enzymes. In 1000 accidental base changes in DNA , fewer than one results in a permanent mutation due to the efficient elimination by the DNA repair.<span> </span>
