The answer is Newborns. Newborns are the population group that has the highest risk of having Vitamin K deficiency, since newborns cannot immediately take in huge amounts of food and supplements to replenish and maintain the storage of Vitamin K in their bodies, which is why there are some health advisories given by the pediatrician to avoid Vitamin K deficiency in Newborns.

If there will be changes on trophic levels, what will be the effects on the ecosystem?
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

It can significantly alter the homeostasis of the ecosystem

Explanation:

The trophic level is the position that occupies a given organism/ population/species in the food web. In a food web, the trophic levels are organized into a first category (formed by primary producers, e.g., plants), a second level (primary consumers, e.g., herbivores), and subsequent categories (predators, e.g., carnivores). The abrupt change in the number of organisms belonging to the same trophic level generally has a negative effect on the ecosystem by modifying the trophic structure of communities. For example, decreasing the number of producers will produce a decrease in the number of primary consumers, thereby altering the homeostasis (equilibrium) of the entire ecosystem. On some occasions, it may eventually lead to the extinction of populations and species.

3. Give reasons for the following:-

(A)We must consume iodized salt
amm1812

Answer:

Iodised salt (also spelled iodized salt) is table salt mixed with a minute amount of various salts of the elementiodine. The ingestion of iodineprevents iodine deficiency. Worldwide, iodine deficiency affects about two billion people and is the leading preventable cause of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Iodine is needed by our thyroid gland to help regulate the proper development and metabolism of both brain and skeleton of our body.

in order for a population to remain in hardy-weinberg equilibrium, mating must be random. what would happen to the genotypic and
bogdanovich [222]

If the assumption of random matings is not accomplished, and individuals mate by similar phenotype, the involved phenotype and the h0m0zyg0us genotypes would increase their frequencies.

----------------

If individuals in a population were more likely to mate with others that shared their phenotype, the genotypic and phenotypic frequencies would change.

The assumption of random mating would not be accomplished, because individuals would rather mate with other individuals that look like them.

This is known as matings by similar phenotype.

Individuals with similar phenotypes in a certain characteristic are more likely to mate than expected matings by chance.

Individuals choose partners with phenotypes similar to their own.

Allelic frequencies do not change. However, mating by similar phenotype will cause,

 • Disequilibrium in the gametic phase

 • Increase in h0m0zyg0us genotypes at heter0zyg0us expense in loci that determine the selected trait.

 • Separation of the population into genetically distinct subgroups

concerning the involved loci.

 • Increase in the phenotypic frequency.

Matings by similar phenotype might be an important factor in the process speciation, leading to evolution.

So, if individuals were more likely to mate with others that shared their phenotype, the phenotypic frequency would increase as well as the h0m0zyg0us genotypes.

When a baby suckles at its mother's breast the stimulus at the breast is sent to the mother's brain (a region called the hypotha
Komok [63]
Yikes.

This is known as positive feedback. It is a continuous loop, that occurs when something physiological is altered.

When this alteration changes, an even stronger change is made in that equivalent direction.

What I mean by this, is that the physiological change of the baby interacting with the mother caused an increase in that same direction.

The increase in that same direction is the production of hormones, which raised the amount of milk.

Hopefully, this helps!
