Answer: Pericles believed that a citizen who did not participatein politics had no business in Athens at all.

Explanation:

In ancient Greece, citizenship in Athens entailed both rights and responsibilities, since all male citizens had to protect Athens in war, be part of a jury and participate in the political debate. Pericles maintained that people with no interest in politics were not just minding their own business, but rather had no place in Athens.

What do we do to a Python statement that is immediately after an if statement to indicate that the statement is to be executed o
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

Indent the line below the if statement

Explanation:

In python,

<expr> is an expression evaluated in Boolean context,

<statement> is a valid statement, which must be indented.

If <expr> is true then <statement> is executed. If false, <expr> , the <statement> is skipped over and is not executed.

An example of such statements is:

>>> num_1 = 3

>>> num_2 = 6

>>> if num_1 < num_2:

...     print('yes')

This statement is true and will be printed. However, if the statement were to be false, that is :

>>> if  num_1 > num_2:

...     print('yes')

This statement is skipped over and will not be executed.

explain how differences in geography , climate, and people contributed to the develpoment of New England, the Middle, and Southe
MArishka [77]
This had a huge impact on the early makings of the United States. For instance, Southern Colonies had a hot climate along with flat ground to grow a lot of crops that are called "cash crops" these crops included Tobacco, Cotton, and a few more. New England was a much colder climate along with the soil in New England being very bare so it was a lot harder to grow crops in New England so those colonies would resort to fishing and later the creation of miles including textile. The Middle Colonies grew a large amount of food like wheat and corn they also would grow to have strong industry as well.

Suppose the government wants to reduce this type of unemployment. Which of the following policies would help achieve this goal?
yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

- Establishing government-run employment agencies to connect unemployed workers to job vacancies.

- Offering recipients of unemployment insurance benefits a cash bonus if they find a new job within a specified number of weeks

Explanation:

<u>Establishing government-run employment agencies to connect unemployed workers to job vacancies</u> helps as the government acting as middlemen between enterprises looking to hire workers and unemployed looking for jobs satisfies a need they both have. <u>Offering recipients of unemployment insurance benefits a cash bonus if they find a new job</u> within a specified number of weeks might encourage the unemployed to invest more time looking for a new job in order to collect the bonus.

On the other hand, <u>extending the number of weeks for which unemployed workers are eligible for unemployment insurance benefits from the government</u> might discourage many recipients of these benefits from actively searching for a new job, as they can consider the unemployment benefits might be a better alternative.
