Answer:

Eventually, the Romans using the umbrella to protect themselves from the rain as well as the sun is correct.

Explanation:

The passage is about the evolution of the umbrella as well as the origin of the name (latin word umbra.) In sentences 10 and 11, the author presents two different uses for the umbrella. All the options use the conjunction as well to indicate these actions. This conjunction can be at the end of the sentence or in the middle to indicate in addition. In the correct answer, it is indicated one use (protect from the rain) and a second one (protect from the sun). In options 2 and 3, there is a coma after sun, and then, a noun (the Romans or the umbrella) but the position in the sentence makes them incorrect.

Congressman Pushes Immigration Agenda
Sergio [31]

C. Congressman Advances Immigration Agenda

The original headline is stating that the Congressman is trying to get the immigration agenda onto the floor of Congress to be discussed. Since we need to rewrite the headline to make it more neutral and not change the meaning, options that show negativity should be eliminated immediately. Opposes and retracts will both change the meaning since oppose means to go against and retract means to take away. Forces is also not a neutral word. It is powerful and shows a great deal of power behind it. Advances would be the best and only option.

Is fear a “good” emotion, a “bad” emotion, or both? Explain your answer using examples from your own life as well as the text. f
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

I personally think fear is both, a good and bad emotion.

Explanation:

The reason I think that fear is a good emotion is because it keeps you alert and helps in better preparation. It also helps you do the right thing to help somethings, or anything in general. I also think fear is a bad emotion because it causes you to go in shock, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It also causes social anxiety or anxiety period. An example in my life where fear was involved was when I went up on a building as an experiment. (It's called acrophobia). I thought at some point, I'd end up either falling or fainting. My anxiety was really bad at first, but in the end, I accomplished my biggest fear, though I still have that phobia.

(I'm sorry, but I don't know what happened in the text, so you'll have to do that part, but I hope this helped you out!)
