Most likely this insertion disrupts the original SBE1 gene so that's it's not expressed. Whatever protein SBE1 makes is required for being round...when it's not expressed you get wrinkled.

Which of the following is a way that new DNA can be introduced to bacteria?
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

The correct answer here would be that it can be injected by a virus.

Since a virus operates by taking over the genetic system of the host and uses its replication, transcription, and translation to make virions or viral particles through the lytic or lysogenic life cycle. In the process, if the virus is utilized as a vector to carry a foreign DNA, the DNA is introduced into the genome of the bacteria. This is exactly what happens during the process known as transduction.

The correct option is, therefore, B.

What is the main product or purpose of photosynthesis?
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

Plants are autotrophs, which means they produce their own food. They use the process of photosynthesis to transform water, sunlight, and carbon dioxide into oxygen, and simple sugars that the plant uses as fuel. These primary producers form the base of an ecosystem and fuel the next trophic levels.

Hope that helps. x
