Every time we increas x by 1, we also increase y by 9. This means that the slope is 9:

m = \dfrac{\Delta y}{\Delta x} = \dfrac{9}{1} = 9

When you know the slope m of a line and one of its points (x_0,y_0), you can write the equation of the line using the formula

y-y_0=m(x-x_0)

In your case, if for example we use the first point, we have

y-7=9(x-1) \iff y=9x-9+7 \iff y=9x-2

Here is an equilateral triangle. The length of each side is units. A height is drawn. In an equilateral triangle, a line drawn f
Temka [501]

1. Height of the equilateral triangle is: √3 units

2. Area of the equilateral triangle = √3 units²

3. Area = √3/4 x², when each side is x.

What is an Equilateral Triangle?

A triangle that has all its three sides equal in length, is referred to as an equilateral triangle.

1. Given the each side measures 2 units, and h is the height, applying the Pythagorean theorem, we would have:

h = √(2² - 1²)

h = √(4 - 1)

h = √3

2. Area of the equilateral triangle = 1/2bh = 1/2(2)(√3)

Area of the equilateral triangle = √3 units²

3. If x is the side length of the equilateral triangle, we would have:

height (h) = √[x² - (x/2)²] = √[x² - x²/4] = √(3x²/4) = √3/2x

Area = 1/2bh = 1/2(x)(√3/2x) = √3/4 x²

Will give brainliest! The function graphed approximates the height of a nail, in meters, x seconds after a construction worker d
trasher [3.6K]
1. As you can see in the graph attached, the x axis represents the time in seconds and the y axis represents the height in meters.

2. Therefore, to solve this exercise and calculate how many seconds is the nail 50 m above the ground, you must draw a segment from 50 meters to the curve and then, you need to draw another segment from that point at the curve, to the x axis, as it is shown in the figure attached.

3. You can conclude that the nail is 50 meters above the ground in 3.9 seconds.

Therefore, the answer is: 3.9 s
