There is a little girl who lives with her family in Africa. Her and her mom walk hundreds of miles a day, going back and forth to get water but it is still not sanitary to drink. Sometimes they don't have time to boil or even have the things the need to boil the water to get it clean even then is isn't safe to drink.

Then one day and American traveler was visiting Africa and noticed the water they wee drinking was unsanitary. that is when he got to thinking how could he make a water purifier that they can use here in Africa. So he started experimenting to see what would work and not be that expensive. When he finally came up with a solution he told us scientist about it and got to making it so more people could use them.

They got to making hundreds of little packets of them and started to send them  over to Africa. the American Traveler explained that what you do is open the little packets and pour the powder into the water and mix in and let it sit. The little girl was so happy that now she can drink the water with out getting sick and was very excited. The other way the traveler came up with was to dig deep deep wells that found naturally purified water which helped a bunch of the families there in Africa and other places that didn't have clean water

Jesse is studying a blood sample that has only antigen B on the red blood cells and antibody A in the plasma. What is the type o
lesya [120]

Answer:

Option: B+

Explanation:

The test to determine a blood group is called ABO typing. The blood sample is mixed with antibodies against type A and B blood. Then, the sample is checked whether or not the blood cells stick together. If blood cells stick together, it means the blood reacted with one of the antibodies.

B+ blood group:

A blood sample that has only antigen B on the red blood cells and antibody A in the plasma lies under B+ blood group.

B+ blood type means the person has antigen B and rhesus factor on RBC and could be able to receive blood from another B+ donor.

Please note:

As only antigen B is mentioned that is why we will consider B+ BLOOD group. Because negative antigen is not mentioned in the question and when there is no sign is mentioned we will consider it positive.

If you wanted to sequence the genome of Ötzi, the 5,300-year-old "Iceman" mummy found in the Alps in 1991, which method would yo
Delvig [45]

The question is incomplete as it does not have the options which are:

a) DNA

b) AGCT

c) PCR

d) SNP

Answer:

PCR (polymerase chain reaction)

Explanation:

The polymerase chain reaction is the technique which replicates and produces multiple copies of the DNA molecule artificially in a short period of time.

The PCR technique employs a variety of enzymes and all the prerequisites which are required in the DNA replication in vivo conditions.

In the given question, if the genome of the mummy has to sequence then after the collection of samples from the bones, the DNA has to replicate through the process of PCR. The samples from the different bone structures can be compared and analysed and a complete genome sequence can be analysed.

Thus, PCR is correct.
