Answer:

Therefore the probability that in one turn James could roll an odd number and fip a heads on the quarter is  = \frac{1}{2} × \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{4}.

Step-by-step explanation:

i) There are three odd numbered faces on the cube, that is the faces having 1, 3, and 5.

Therefore the probability of rolling an odd numbered face is = \frac{1}{6} +  \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{6}  = \frac{1}{2} since the probability of rolling 1 = probability of rolling 3 = probability of rolling 5 = \frac{1}{6}

ii) The probability of flipping a head on the quarter = probability of flipping a tail on the quarter = \frac{1}{2}

iii) Therefore the probability that in one turn James could roll an odd number and fip a heads on the quarter is  = \frac{1}{2} × \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{4}

I'm going to take a guess regarding what you meant to type in:

<span>3x-9 X +6x+5
E(x)= ------- × -------------
2 2
X -9 X +5x+6

                            3(x+3)        6x+5
becomes  E(x) = ----------- * ------------
                             x-9             5x+6

This cannot be reduced.

Try again to share this problem.  Thank you.
