What is X Plus -8 equals 3x plus 6

Mathematics

X + -8 = 3x + 6
x - 8 = 3x + 6
(x - 8) + 8 = 3x + 6 + 8
x = 3x + 14
x - 3x = (3x + 14) - 3x
-2x = 14
2x = -14
x = -7

X=7      this is how you  do it you just combine like terms but there isn't so you just add 8 to both sides so it would be x=3x+14 then you would subtract 3x to both side and it would be -2x=14 then divide by 2 not negative two and get x=7 because you can't have something equal negative x

. The manager of a local small bank wants to estimate the average daily balance of all the checking accounts. Assume a random sa
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

A 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean (average) daily balance of all the checking accounts is $274.32 to $331.68

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

A random sample of 21 checking accounts at the bank are chosen,

That means n=21

df = n-1

df = 21-1=20

We need to  Construct and interpret a 95% confidence interval.

Determine t critical value for 95% confidence interval.

0.95=1-α

α=0.05

The sample size is small and it is a two tailed test.

From the t value table confidence interval is 2.086

An average daily balance is $303 and a standard deviation of $63.

CI=\bar x\pm t_c \times \frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

Substitute the respective values.

CI=303\pm 2.086 \times \frac{63}{\sqrt{21}}

CI=303\pm 28.68

CI=274.32\ or\ 331.68

A 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean (average) daily balance of all the checking accounts is $274.32 to $331.68

 A garden is 5 yards 12 inches wide and 6 yards long. Write the ratio of the width to the length as a fraction in simplest form.
musickatia [10]
8/9 because there are 36 inches in a yard and you need to convert all the yards to inches and turn it into a fraction. The original fraction is 192/216 but it simplifies to 8/9.
