Romanticism hoped to find truth A. in nature and emotion. A quick look at Romantic art and literature highlights this point. Take, for instance, Caspar David Friedrich's <em>Wanderer above the Sea of Fog </em>(1818)<em>. </em>The painting depicts a lone man standing on a rock in the midst of nature, looking off into the distance in a very contemplative mood. Mary Shelley's book <em>Frankenstein </em>also employs a great deal of Romantic motifs such as entire sections describing Dr. Frankenstein wandering through the mountains where Shelley illustrates (in great detail) the aspects of nature around him.

The  news that America was finally going to be independent from the Britain, it shocked everyone. They were not expecting that Britain would let loose on the Americans.

The economic advantages were highly effected, America was a great hub of resources. Britain's were afraid that seeing how Americans have gained freedom, other countries might get the same idea and rebel.
