3/4+(1/4-1/6)= show work adding and subtracting fractions
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

5/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Make all fractions have same denominator: 24

3/4 * 6/6 = 18/24

1/4 * 6/6 = 6/24

1/6 * 4/4 = 4/24

Step 2: Plug in the new fractions into the old place

3/4 + (1/4 - 1/6)

18/24 + (6/24 - 4/24)

Step 3: Solve inside parenthesis

18/24 + (6/24 - 4/24)

18/24 + 2/24

Step 4: Add

18/24 + 2/24

20/24

Step 5: Simplify

20/24
