The British did not surrender the western forts, as was promised in the Treaty of Paris. 
Great Britain began stopping American ships and forcing people on ships to join Brit military. was called "impressment".
Britain issued series of trade restrictions to disrupt American trade with France. 
Britts supplied waepons and support to Native Americans who were attacking americans. 
Britain controoled Canada and Americans wanted to expand that way. 
EFFECTS

causes:
-British interference with american shipping -naval blockade
-Impressment (kidnapping) american sailors 
- Americans believe British push native Americans to fight settlers  
- Western member's of the house of representatives ( called war hawks) want to expand into Canada.

Effects:
-Heroism of Jackson Perry, & others increased american patriotism 
- Native Americans weakened
- Growth of US manufacturing 
-US proves it could defend itself against worlds strongest military power. 
- Americans gain confidence in country ability to survive & prosper.

The gulf indians belonged to the karankawa cultural group. They are seafood that includes turtle, fish, and oyster. They lived in areas that were dry so they were not farmers. They lived in wickiups.

The plain culture

The plain indians were skilled in horse riding. This gave them dominance as they used this skill whenever they attacked others. They were buffalo hunters and farmers. They made clothes out of buffalo skin and also fed from it's meat. The plain language included Siouan, alqonquian. Some of the people here were nomadic and they also belonged to the Comanche cultural group. They lived in teepees
