The percent 7% as a fraction in simplest form is 7/100. I know this because all percents are over one hundred so 7% = 7/100.

7% = 7/100 = 0.07. It's because 7 cents in a dollar is 7%.

The sample space of a random experiment is {a, b, c, d, e} with probabilities 0.1, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.2 respectively. Let A de
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

a) P(A) =P(a)+P(b) +P(c)= 0.1+0.1+0.2 = 0.4

b) P(B) =P(c) +P(d)+P(e)=0.2+0.4+0.2=0.8

c) P(A') = 1-P(A) =1-0.4=0.6

d) P(A \cup B) =0.4 +0.8-0.2 =1.0

e) The intersection between the set A and B is the element c so then we have this:

P(A \cap B) = P(c) =0.2

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the following space provided:

S= [a,b,c,d,e]

With the following probabilities:

P(a) =0.1, P(b)=0.1, P(c) =0.2, P(d)=0.4, P(e)=0.2

And we define the following events:

A= [a,b,c], B=[c,d,e]

For this case we can find the individual probabilities for A and B like this:

P(A) = 0.1+0.1+0.2 = 0.4

P(B) =0.2+0.4+0.2=0.8

Determine:

a. P(A)

P(A) =P(a)+P(b) +P(c)= 0.1+0.1+0.2 = 0.4

b. P(B)

P(B) =P(c) +P(d)+P(e)=0.2+0.4+0.2=0.8

c. P(A’)

From definition of complement we have this:

P(A') = 1-P(A) =1-0.4=0.6

d. P(AUB)

Using the total law of probability we got:

P(A \cup B) =P(A) +P(B)-P(A \cap B)

For this case P(A \cap B) = P(c) =0.2, so if we replace we got:

P(A \cup B) =0.4 +0.8-0.2 =1.0

e. P(AnB)

The intersection between the set A and B is the element c so then we have this:

P(A \cap B) = P(c) =0.2

The cost of renting a moving van for a 26 mile trip is $62.50. the cost of renting the same van for a 38 mile trip is $65.50 The
Darya [45]
The difference between the 26 mile trip and 38 mile trip is 12 miles.
The difference in the price is $3.00 ($65.50 - $62.50)

So those 12 miles cost $3.00     $3.00÷12 = $.25 per mile

We can use either given trip to solve. I will use the 38 mile trip.
The difference between 38 miles and 54 miles is 16 miles.   At $.25 a mile those 16 miles will add $4.00 to the price.  ($.25 x 16 = $4.00)
Since the 38 mile trip costs $65.50 we add $4.00 and get $69.50 for a 54 mile trip.

The measures of two complementary angles have a ratio of 1:2 what is the measure of each angle
mamaluj [8]

The two angles are 30 degrees and 60 degrees

Solution:

Given that,

The measures of two complementary angles have a ratio of 1 : 2

Let the one of angle be 1x

Let the other angle be 2x

We know that,

Sum of two complementary angles is 90 degrees

Therefore,

1x + 2x = 90

3x = 90

Divide both sides by 3

x = 30

Therefore, measure of each angles is:

One angle = 1x = 30

Other angle = 2x = 2(30) = 60

Thus the two angles are 30 degrees and 60 degrees
