What do the gospel of wealth and socialism have in common

Both the Gospel of Wealth and Social Darwinism believed and defended industrial capitalism.

They believe differently on the role of the wealthy with regards to the problems of the world. Both supported capitalism but the Gospel of Wealth believed in that the rich industrialists will save the poor , in contrast with the Socialist’s belief that the rich caused others to become poor.
