A Platonic solid is a convex polyhedron that is a regular polygon. Some examples are bricks, a dice, tissue boxes etc.

A prism is a solid object comprising of flat faces and identical faces on each end. Hence, all prisms are NOT platonic solids.

There are only five platonic solids: tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, cube, and dodecahedron.
