The Latin word for "seek" is "quaerō". Some English derivatives that come from this root Latin word are as follows: <span>acquire, inquire, inquisitive, query, and quest.
If you acquire something, it means you've found something that you were seeking. Inquire and inquisitive mean seeking information or someone who likes to get a lot of information, and query and quest are two types of questioning methods.
