Answer

Find out the  measure of ∠ PNL .

To proof

As given

∠ M = 47°

In  ΔLMN

Now by using the property if two sides of a triangles are equal than their opposite angles are also equal .

 As given MN = LN

∠ M =∠ L = 47°

and ∠ MPN = 90 °

(As shown in the diagram)

∠ MPN +  ∠ NPL = 180°  (Linear pair)

∠ NPL = 180° - 90°

∠ NPL = 90°

Now by using the angle sum property of a triangles

in Δ NPL

∠NPL +∠PNL + ∠NLP = 180°

90 + 47 + ∠PNL = 180

137+ ∠PNL = 180

∠PNL = 180 - 137

∠PNL = 43 °

therefor the option (A) is correct .

Hence proved

Graph the function y=<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Csqrt%7Bx%7D%20-2-5" id="TexFormula1" title="\sqrt{x} -2-5" alt="\sqrt{
Rashid [163]

Answer:

(3, -4)

Step-by-step explanation:

The correct equation is:

y=\sqrt{x-2}-5

From the list of given points, we have to identify which point lies on the graph. This can be done by using the value of x-coordinates from the given points and see if they result in the corresponding y-coordinate:

For point (1, 4)

y=\sqrt{1-2}-5=\sqrt{-1}-5, This is not equal to 4, so it does not lie on the graph of given function.

For point (3, -4)

y=\sqrt{3-2}-5=\sqrt{1}-5=-4, The answer ans corresponding y-coordinate are the same. This means, (3, -4) point lies on the graph of given function.

Likewise, checking for 3rd and 4th point we find out that they do not lie on the graph.

So the correct answer is (3, -4)

A town has a population of 8000 and grows at 3% every year. To the nearest tenth of a year, how long will it be until the popula
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

It will take approximately 34 years

Step-by-step explanation:

If a town population is 8000 and grows 3% annually.

How long will it take to reach 16300

growth is 16300 - 8000 = 8300

using simple interest formula

SI = (P × r × t)/100

8300 = (8000 × 3 × t)100

8300= (80 × 3)t

8300 = 240t

t = 8300/240

t ≈ 34 years to the nearest tenth
