Sarah is 14
The twins are 12
The youngest (n) is 7

14+(12+12)+7=45

n=7

Solve for m: m + 4 = 5m - 12<br><br> m = 16<br><br> m = 4<br><br> m = 3<br><br> m = -3
kolbaska11 [484]

m + 4 = 5m - 12

Subtract m from both sides.

4 = 4m - 12

Add 12 to both sides

16 = 4m

Divide both sides by 4

m = 4

Naya [18.7K]
First you want to add a decimal after the first one to make it 1.41.  Now you want to count the amount of places after the 1.  It would be 8 places for 141000000 in scientific notation is 1.41 x 10^{8}.

Sec^6x (secxtanx) - sec^4x (secxtanx) = sec^5x tan^3x
Olegator [25]
Let E the expression of the left side of the equation:

E=\sec^6(x) (\sec (x)\tan (x)) - \sec^4(x) (\sec (x)\tan (x))\\\\&#10;E=\sec^7(x)\tan(x)-\sec^5(x)\tan(x)\\\\&#10;E=\sec^5(x)\tan(x)(\sec^2(x)-1)

We must know that \tan^2(x)+1=\sec^2(x)\iff \sec^2(x)-1=\tan^2(x). So, using in the equation above:

E=\sec^5(x)\tan(x)(\underbrace{\sec^2(x)-1}_{\tan^2(x)})\\\\&#10;E=\sec^5(x)\tan(x)(\tan^2(x))\\\\&#10;\boxed{E=\sec^5(x)\tan^3(x)}

Then, the equation is true.
