In June 2008, China relocated millions and millions of people to different provinces, cities, and towns. Roughly 13 cities, 140 towns and 1350 villages either flooded or were partially flooded. By <span>July 22, 2008, the evacuation and relocation of millions was complete. About 4 million people are said to be encouraged to move to the city of </span><span>Chongqing by 2020. However the city claims that this is because of urbanization, and is not at all about the current dam situation.
