Answer: as the sailers traveled they learned and brought people back and forth. The experiences they had changed them in that they would adopt parts of other cultures and they would spread their ideas.

An example is the use of corn. It was only grown in south America till the travelers came and saw how it fattened up the animals. They took the corn back with them to grow and feed their animals. Some people would eat it for themselves.
