Ok, so find something you can divide with both 6 and 2. You should get 2. So when you divide 2 and 2, and 6 and 2, you get 1/3.

So the simplest form of 2/6 is 1/3.

You have to find the lowest number that goes into both 2 and 6. The lowest number that can go into both 2 and 6 evenly (1 isn't an option) is 2.
2 goes into 2 once and into 6, 3 times.
So you change the 2 to 1 and the 6 to 3 making the new fraction 1/3 which is the simplest form of 2/6.

Tasya [4]
The answer is the letter b cos u = 1 /sec u

When you use it in the left side of the identity that you want to verify, sec y cos y = 1 , you get this:

sec y cos y = 1

[sec y ] [ 1 / sec y ] = 1

[sec y] / [sec y] = 1

         1                    = 1 which proves the idenity.

shtirl [24]

Answer: 1 1/4feet

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we are informed that the depth of the water in the pool changes by −3/4 foot every hour and that the depth of the water was 5 feet when she started draining.

The depth of the water after 5 hours will be:

= 5 - 3/4(5)

= 5 - 15/4

= 5 - 3 3/4

= 1 1/4 feet

The perimeter of a rectangle changes from 2.5 to 10 after dilation what was the scale factor of the dilation
yan [13]
The scale factor is 4 (10/2.5).

Each side has increased by a factor of 4. Think of it logically, if the original rectangle had sides of 1,1,1/4,1/4, the perimeter would add to 2.5. In order to get the sides to add up to 10, each of the sides would need to be multiplied by 4. Then our sides would measure 4,4,1,1 with a perimeter of 10.

X^3 + 2x^2 – 24x

^
write the polynomial in factored form
BigorU [14]

Answer:

x(x+6)(x-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

They all have x in it, which means we can factor out x first.

x(x^2 + 2x -24)

Now we can factor out the inside doing algebra.

Since 6 multiplied by -4 gives us -24 and adding them gives us 2, 6 and -4 works. This means that we can factor out (x+6) and (x-4).

We still have to multiply the x from the beginning, giving us a final equation of

x(x+6)(x-4).
