4students=12 dollars

Find the value each student spends
1student=12/4 dollars
1student=3 dollars

multiply both sides by 10 to get

10students=3*10 dollars

10students=30 dollars

10 students would spend 30 dollars

4 students spend $12.
8 students would spend $24.
So, you need only two more students to buy lunch.
So HALF of what the 4 students pay, would mean 2 students pay $6. Or, each student pays $3.
So if 8 students spend $24. Add the $6 from the other two students, and the answer would be: 10 students spend $30.

To make it easier than that.
Find the price each student pays. So:
12/4= $3
Multiply $3 by the number of students.
$3 x 10 = $30

You work 40 hours/week for 52 weeks and are given the option to be paid hourly or to go on salary. In which situation will you e
Damm [24]
40 hours/week * 52 weeks = 2,080 hours a year.

$30,000/year

$15.00/hour * 2,080 hours = 31,200/year

$30,000/year w/ a 10% bonus = 30,000 * 1.10 = 33,000/year

$15.00/hour and a $2,000 bonus at the end of the year = (15 * 2,080) + 2,000 = 31,200 + 2,000 = 33,200/year

I will earn the most in $15.00/hour and a $2,000 bonus at the end of the year. I will earn $33,200 per year.

Nezavi [6.7K]
We use unitary method over here. To find out the number pages he writes in 1 hour we should;
16÷8 = 2.
So Brennan writes 2 pages in 1 hour.
Hence, in 10 hours he writes;
2 × 10 = 20.
∴ in ten hours Brennan writes 20 pages.
