The correct answer is A. Are still loaded with meaning

Explanation:

"A Farewell to Arms" which is the novel by Ernest Hemingway from which the excerpt is taken, is a literary work based on the First War World that focuses on the life of a paramedic called Frederic Henry. In the dialogue from the excerpt Henry and another character called Passini discuss about the war and the way in which this has negative consequences for the ones being defeat. This dialogue mainly contains short sentences as in the case of "Defeat is worse" or "They come after you. They take your home. They take your sisters" rather than long and complex sentences. However, the use of short sentences does not affect the complexity of the meaning behind the dialogue as even when most sentences are short they are full of meaning and the reader can understand the ideas of both characters. This means, this excerpt shows or exemplifies the way in which the author uses short sentences which are still loaded with meaning, which means despite using short sentences the meaning of them is clear and complex.

Jet001 [13]
Have* this is because has* is past tense and have is more appropriate since there are multiple things you are referring too (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars). To be honest, these planets have a molten core.

Why we shouldn’t increase minimum wages? Reflection
Vikki [24]

Small Business

Explanation:

There's a lot of debate on why we should and shouldn't raise the minimum wage. Off the top of my head, I would say the reason not to raise the minimum wage is that it could affect small business owners. Basically, smaller businesses will be forced to pay their employees more money. Obviously that will hurt the owner financially and could ultimately lead the business to bankruptcy.
