Total is 421,
United States (104)+ China (88)+ Russia (82)+ Germany (44)+ Japan (3*)
= 104 + 88 + 82 + 44 = 318 (idk wat japan # is)

so because ur photo is cut off u need to do *318 + japan's number* then do 421 minus *that number* that is what great Britain ( x ) is

so in the end x (great Britain) = 65

Very easy
just add up all the meadals

japan is 38

so total=104+88+82+x+44+38=356+x
total of all medals is 421 so to find brittan or x you just subtrac the total from the big total so

356+x=421
subtract 356 from both sides
x=65
brittan won 65 medals

The distribution of the number of transactions performed at a bank each day is approximately normal with mean 478 transactions a
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

e. 0.977

Step-by-step explanation:

Problems of normally distributed samples are solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the pvalue, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

In this problem, we have that:

\mu = 478, \sigma = 64

Which of the following is closest to the proportion of daily transactions greater than 350?

This is 1 subtracted by the pvalue of Z when X = 350. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{350 - 478}{64}

Z = -2

Z = -2 has a pvalue of 0.023

1 - 0.023 = 0.977

So the correct answer is:

e. 0.977

A biologist took a count of the number of migrating waterfowl at a particular lake, and recounted the lake's population of water
taurus [48]

Quadratic function ( in standard form ):

y = a x² + b x + c

x = 0:

635 = 0 + 0 + c

c = 635

x = 1:

644 = a + b + 635

a + b = 9

x = 2:

719 = 4 a + 2 b + 635

4 a + 2 b = 84

and now we have a system:

a + b = 9   /  * ( - 2 )

4 a + 2 b = 84

-------------------------

- 2 a + 2 b = - 18

+

 4 a + 2 b  = 84

-------------------------

  2 a = 66

 a = 33;   b = - 24;

 Function is:

 f ( x ) = 33 x² - 24 x + 635

f ( 8 ) = 33 * 64 - 24 * 8 + 635 = 2,112 - 192 + 635 = 2,555

 Answer: The number of waterfowl on week 8 would be 2,555.
