Innocence versus evil,the concrete conflict in Young Goodman Brown is weather or not to participate in the ceremony,<span>That Goodman see nothing wrong in his conversations with the devil but is abhorred at anybody else doing so.</span>

Wiesel was able to get the sympathy of the people through his experience in the Holocaust. He shared what he sees after the war and how the future would look in the years to come. However, despite wanting change, he believed that it is better to be indifferent because it is much safer compared to fighting to what you believe and think is right.
