We know that the ration/percentage that brass is made of remains the same no matter what the weight is;

Therefore, 48 ounces are 80% of the trumpet.

48/80= 0.6 ounce per percent of the zinc (I divided the weight by the percent)

0.6 ounces × 20%= 12 ounces

Therefore, there are 12 ouches of zinc in Henri's trumpet.

Hope I helped :)

In the formula Distance = Rate x Time, what relationship exists between rate and time in order to keep the distance value consta
Dafna11 [192]
Xy=k, whenever the product of two variables is a constant it is called inverse variation.  This is an inverse relationship, intuitively because, as the value of one variable increases, the other decreases and vice versa.

It is easy to spot as xy=k or y=k/x.

Johnathan can jog 3 2/3 miles in 7/8 hour. Determine his average speed in miles per hour.
kap26 [50]
If you would like to know Johnathan's average speed in miles per hour, you can calculate this using the following steps:

3 2/3 = 11/3 miles ... 7/8 hour
x miles = ? ... 1 hour

11/3 * 1 = 7/8 * x
11/3 = 7/8 * x
x = 11/3 * 8/7
x = 88/21
x = 4 4/21 miles

The correct result would be 4 4/21 miles per hour.

What is the value of y?
lord [1]

Answer:

15

Step-by-step explanation:

Angle c is 180 - 146 = 34

All 3 angles add to 180:

(5y + 3) + (4y + 8) + 34 = 180

9y + 45 = 180

9y = 135

y = 15
