There are different evidences to show the ancestral relationship between different species. Some common evidences are structure of different organs, structure of heart, forelimb and hind limbs and connecting links of the animals. The connecting links provide a common link between two different species.

One example is Euglena. It is considered as the common ancestor of both plant and animal. Therefore it is a missing link or connecting link between both plant and animal. It has chlorophyll in its body, which helps in photosynthesis. Euglena also contains flagella which helps in locomotion from one place to another.

Why do ionic bonds form between metals and
nonmetals?
velikii [3]

Answer:

Ionic bonds form only between metals and nonmetals. That's because metals “want” to give up electrons, and nonmetals “want” to gain electrons. It takes energy to remove valence electrons from an atom and form a positive ion. Energy is released when an atom gains valence electrons and forms a negative ion.

What does the light red layer between the white lumen and blue lamina propria consist of?
r-ruslan [8.4K]

The light red layer between the white lumen and blue lamina propria consist of epithelium cells.

What is a lamina propria?

A lamina propria is a type of connective tissue that is present and found under the thin layer of tissues covering a mucous membrane.

Characteristics of the lamina propria

 • It is a very large layer of connective tissue
 • It divides the innermost layer from a layer of smooth muscle tissue.
 • it is a light red layer barrier located between the white lumen and blue lamina.
 • It is made up of epithelium cells.
 • It is also found in the respiratory tract, the Gastrointestinal tract, and the urogenital tract.

Thus, the light red layer between the white lumen and blue lamina propria consist of epithelium cells.

Which technique involves injecting an animal with a radioactive molecule to see which part of the olfactory bulb is most activat
Rudiy27

The asnswer is 2DG also known as 2-Deoxy-D-glucose. 2DG is a glucose molecule that has the 2-hydroxyl group replaced by hydrogen, so that it cannot undergo further glycolysis. As such; it acts to competitively inhibit the production of glucose-6-phosphate from glucose at the phosphoglucoisomerase level (step 2 of glycolysis).

What is the correct sentence?
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer: The correct sequence in the expression of a trait is gene > protein > trait (Option B).

Explanation:

During gene transcription, a linear fragment of DNA referred to as a 'gene' is used as template to synthesize a complementary messenger RNA (mRNA) sequence.

Subsequently, this mRNA is then used as template to create a protein by a process called translation.

Moreover, phenotypic traits can be defined as all observable characteristics that an organism has.

The phenotypic traits are largely determined by the expression of either enzymatic or structural proteins, which interact to shape the phenotype of an organism.

In conclusion, the correct sequence in the expression of a trait is gene > protein > trait (Option B).
