For the most part, it just depends on the teacher honestly.

Answer:

Reasonable means that it follows some type of logic, that may or may not be the correct logic path to reach a given answer.

For example, if we want to calculate the difference between 23091 and 12, we may expect to have a positive number that is near 23091, so the answer 23080 may seem reasonable, but it is actually incorrect, the real answer is 23079

Now, this is a particular example, but you may find a lot of cases where an answer may seem reasonable but is not actually correct, especially when you work with things like quantum physics or special relativity, where the tings do not work as we accustomed, so the things that "seem reasonable" may not be.

Solve for x and y
(8y - 102)
(3x)
(2y + 6)
LuckyWell [14K]
I think x = 46 and y = 18. 8y - 102 is vertical to 2y + 6 so you would make them equal each other. You would solve and end up with 18. To find 3x, you would see that 8y - 102 is supplementary to it and they would have to equal 180. If you substitute 18 into 8y - 102 it would be 42. 180 - 42 is 138 so you would divide and do 138/3 which would leave you with 46.

How would you find an interquartile range with just numbers?
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

IQR is 3.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Organize the numbers in numerical order

0,0,2,2,3,4,6,8

Step 2: Break the set up into quartiles (4 parts)

0 0 | 2 2 | 3 4 | 6 8

Step 3: Find the average of each quartile

0 | 2 | 3.5 | 7

Step 4: Find the IQR (Q3-Q1)

3.5-0=3.5

Therefore, the IQR is 3.5
