The chemical weathering process of carbonation removes carbon from the atmosphere. In this process, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere mixes with rainfall to form carbonic acid. This acid then reacts with calcium carbonate or limestone to form calcium bicarbonate. This reaction removes carbon from the atmosphere. Organisms such as corals can remove dissolved carbon from oceans to form their hard rocky structures. Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is dissolved in ocean water. Overtime they become limestone rock.

A 0.89% (w/v) sodium chloride solution is referred to as physiological saline solution because it has the sameconcentration of s
elixir [45]

Answer: Molarity of a physiological saline solution is 0.15 M

Explanation:

Molarity of a solution is defined as the number of moles of solute dissolved per liter of the solution.

Molarity=\frac{n\times 1000}{V_s}

n = moles of solute

V_s =volume of solution in ml

Given : 0.89 g of sodium chloride in 100 ml of solution.

To calculate the moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}=\frac{0.89g}{58.5g/mol}=0.015moles

Volume of solution = 100 ml

Molarity=\frac{0.015\times 1000}{100ml}=0.15M

Molarity of physiological saline solution is 0.15 M

According to model 1, how many grams of grass does herbivore a eat each day?
ICE Princess25 [194]
I don't know what model you're referring to so I can't answer the question. However, upon researching, I found a similar problem. I posted it as an attached picture. Looking at the model, the amount of grams a herbivore eat each day corresponds to the arrow pointing inwards. Since the label says 4.0 g, <em>the answer is 4 g per day</em>.

175 ml of a 1.6 m solution of kcl is diluted to a new volume of 1.0 l. what is the new concentration of the solution? (3 points)
djyliett [7]

175 ml of a 1.6 m solution of KCl is diluted to a new volume of 1.0 L. The new concentration of the solution is 0.28 m KCl.

Hence, Option (B) is correct answer.

<h3>What is Concentration ?</h3>

Concentration is defined as the measure of how much substance there is mixed with another substance.

<h3>How to find the concentration ?</h3>

To find the concentration use the dilution formula

C₁V₁ = C₂V₂

where,

C₁ = Concentration of starting solution

C₂ = Concentration of final solution

V₁ = Volume of the starting solution

V₂ = Volume of the final solution

Now put the values in above formula we get

C₁V₁ = C₂V₂

1.6 × 0.175 = C₂ × 1.0

0.28 = C₂ × 1.0

C₂ = 0.28

Thus from the above conclusion we can say that 175 ml of a 1.6 m solution of KCl is diluted to a new volume of 1.0 L. The new concentration of the solution is 0.28 m KCl.

Hence, Option (B) is correct answer.
