The baby's respiration and circulation change when the baby is born in the sense that it no longer relies/depends on the mother for oxygen.

While in the womb, the respiration and circulation of a baby is done by the mother. The mother and the baby inside are connected through the placenta. The placenta connects them through the circulatory system of the mother. The waste and carbon dioxide is also delivered through the blood vessels of the placenta which enters the blood stream of the mother to be eliminated.

When the mother receives nutrients and oxygen in her blood stream, it is also distributed to the fetus.

anastassius [24]
As such, all objects free fall at the same rate regardless of their mass. Because the 9.8 N/kg gravitational field at Earth's surface causes a 9.8 m/s/s acceleration of any object placed there, we often call this ratio the acceleration of gravity.

If bird song promotes an individual's ability to attract a mate and reproduce, then the song has a(n) _____ function. assumptive
Contact [7]

Answer:

If bird song promotes an individual's ability to attract a mate and reproduce, then the song has an <u>     function</u>

<u />

Explanation:

Within a community, certain novel traits are fixed because they impart beneficial adaptations on an individual in their ecosystem (like mate attraction). Such modifications enable such individuals to live longer than their peers, and breed over time to produce more offspring who also exhibit these traits.

Natural selection takes place and is determined by the fitness of an individual , it contributes to evolutionary change as individuals with certain traits reproduce, the traits become fixed and prevalent within the population.

What happened to the matter and the energy of a watermelon when it decomposes?
rusak2 [61]

Answer: Decomposition is a process in which complex organic molecules are converted into simple inorganic forms, which can be easily degraded.

Explanation:

The watermelon is a food source for decomposers. The soft fleshy part get decomposed and degraded easily but the hard thicker rind takes long.  The soil decomposers like bacteria, earthworms and fungi will convert the organic matter in the watermelon into inorganic components. This way the matter is converted into a form which can be utilized by the decomposers as a source of energy and some components also improves the quality of soil.
