The Round Table was King Arthur's table where he congregated with his Knights. It is very important part of the legend of King Arthur. Its shape (the fact that it is round and that there is no head) symbolizes that all of Knights siting there have equal status. This table was first described in 1155. by Wace, in his "Roman de Brut". There, he pointed out that Arthur created the Round Table to stop and prevent quarrels among his barons. During the years, the meaning of the Round Table developed, and in the end of 11th century, it had come to represent order of Knights called Knights of the Round Table.
Britain needed to resolve a conflict between the principles of free trade (which Britain was more and more adopting) and the institution of slavery.
Concerns about slave revolts indeed were indeed part of Britain's pragmatic decisions to end its participation in the slave trade in 1807 and phasing out slavery in its empire starting in 1834. But the other factor was that the Industrial Revolution was taking over how the British economy operated, and the institution of slavery no longer fit within the new, industrializing economy.
Along with those practical reasons, there was of course much moral pressure applied by the abolitionist movement. William Wilberforce was a key voice of conscience in Parliament from the moral side of the argument.
As I conductor, you would see many abused slaves escaping from the U.S to go to Canadian territory. Help would be the smallest thing I could give to the slaves taking in all the abuse they had been running from, and being hunted down to the point where not many made the trip. If Harriet or anyone else hadn't helped them, it would affect today's Canadian population and culture given that when Slaves arrived the started new traditions. Influencing the entire country.
i'm gonna say AP word because its best for me like most history i kinda don't know so AP word was my best choice
Great Britain and France gave into Hitler's demands for territory at the 1938 Munich Conference because B) Hitler promised that it was the last territorial demand in Europe. This was viewed as an effort at appeasement that did not end Nazi Germany's territorial appetite in Europe.
