All four quadrants

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

We have the following inequality:

y \leq \frac{2}{7}x+1

So the first step we need to perform is to plot the line:

y = \frac{2}{7}x+1

If \ x=0 \\ \\ y=\frac{2}{7}(0)+1 \\ \\ y=1 \\ \\ \\ If \ y=0: \\ \\ 0=\frac{2}{7}(x)+1 \\ \\ x=-\frac{7}{2}=-3.5

So the line passes through the points:

(0,1) \ and \ (-3.5,0)

To find the shaded region, let us take a point, namely, the origin and test it in the inequality:

y \leq \frac{2}{7}x+1 \\ \\ 0\leq \frac{2}{7}(0)+1 \\ \\ 0\leq 1 \ True!

Since this is true, then the shaded region includes this point. This is shown below and <em>as you can see the solutions exist in all four quadrants.</em>

Rico thinks of a number between 30 and 40 that is represented by
Anna007 [38]
Hello,

x,y,z∈ IN

x=\frac{3}{4}*y
y=\frac{1}{3}*z

140
46\leq\ y\ \leq\ 50 ==>\ \frac{46*3}{4}\leq\frac{3y}{4}\leq\frac{50*3}{4}
35\ \leq\ z\ \leq\ 37==>
 x∈{35,36,37}
 y∈{47,48,49}
 z∈{141,144,147}

We must go futher:

if x=35 then y=4*35/3=46.666 not good , not whole
if x=36 then y=4*36/3=48 ok
if x=37 then y=37*4/3=49.333.. not good

So there is only one solution (36,48,144) for (x,y,z)

No problem with z for z=3/1*4/3*x=4x ==>whole.

It takes the high-speed train x hours to travel the z miles from Town A to Town B at a constant rate, while it takes the regular
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

S=  z (y-x)/(x+y)

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets the speed of high speed train = u

Lets the regular speed train = v

We know that

Distance = Speed x time

For high speed train

 z = u .x

    u= z/x                  ----------1

For regular speed train

 z = v .y

v = z/y             -------------2

Both are traveling in opposite direction so relative speed

Vr = z / x+ z /y

Lets in time t they will meet

z = (z / x+ z /y) t

t= xy/ (x+y)

Lets take distance  cover by high speed train is m when it moves A to B and  speed cover by regular train is n when it is moving B to A.They meet at time t.

m = u .t

m = z / x .xy/ (x+y)

m = zy/ (x+y)            -----------3

n = v .t

n = z / y .xy/ (x+y)

n = zx/ (x+y)              -----------4

From equation 3 and 4

So

m - n= zy/ (x+y)   - zx/ (x+y)

S=  z (y-x)/(x+y)

Option a is correct.
