A spaceship is designed to support animal life for a multiyear voyage to the outer planets of the solar system. plants will be g

rown to provide oxygen and to recycle carbon dioxide. because the spaceship will be too far from the sun for photosynthesis, an artificial light source will be needed. what wavelengths of light should be used to maximize plant growth with a minimum of energy expenditure?

Plants mostly use light wavelengths between 400 to 700 nm. This range is referred to as PAR or photosynthetically active radiation range. The wavelength of light that can be used for the situation given above is red and blue light. The approximate wavelength of the blue light is 455 to 492 nm while the red light is at 622 to 780 nm.

The main criterion for a plant is that it is able to photosynthesis. what does this mean?
Minchanka [31]
Photosynthesis means that the plant is able to use carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O), and sunlight to create food for itself.

This food is called glucose, which is a type of sugar. Oxygen (O2) is also created during photosynthesis.

What challenges cell biologists face in the 21st century?
Crank

Answer:

There are many types of challenges are faced by the scientists in 21st century. some are as given below:

Explanation:

1. Getting biodiversity. We're losing species at a disturbing rate, and we have to comprehend what the implications of that may be.

2. sustainable development. Like feasible agriculture, yet more broad sense. Discovering approaches to accommodate human needs while limiting the mischief we cause to the earth is urgent.

3. Everything about hereditary qualities. It's simply so much fun.

4. The most effective method to cut across political, social, and social limits and spur enormous and little scope activity to lessen biodiversity loss. This point may have a hefty sociology component, yet it's significant. All the natural and biological information on the planet won't make any difference on the off chance that we can't get individuals to follow up on it.

Why is the development of seeds considered to be important for the evolution of land plants from spore-bearing vascular plants?
harkovskaia [24]
.C. Seeds served as new means of dispersal for reproduction in areas without water.

These type of plants are more evolved and developed than nonvascular plants because of its specialized characteristics like xylem, which is a tissue that is responsible for its framework and not only that, it is also has a greater mechanism for water transference. Another is phloem, which is responsible for food conduction.
