Queen Victoria came to the throne of England in 1837 on 20th June. During her reign, Britain witnessed immense expanion in terms of empire, industry, economy, etc.

During the Victorian Era, Britain was ruling over about one-fifth area of the world which includes large area of India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and so on.

Britain was in competition with other countries such as German, France, and so on economically, territorial wise. Britain, during Victorian Era emerged as the World's super power.
