History

The difference is that Roosevelt was ready to do more to solve the problems brought about by the Great Depression while Hoover was more hesitant to let government intervene. The programs he launched such as the National Credit Corporation, the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, and the Emergency Relief and Construction Act came late to do any good. Upon assuming office, Roosevelt quickly launched various programs to solve the problems. In the end, Roosevelt was right in his approach of Government intervention because at the time, people needed support to uplift their lives.

How well did Andrew Jackson promote democracy politically, economically, and culturally in the United States?
Zepler [3.9K]
I would give him a score of about 5 out of 1.He greatly democratized the process of elections in that era and was our first grassroots president. However, Jackson usually did what Jackson wanted to do, even if it meant alienating many of the people who got him elected. He did not side with Southerners during the nullification crisis and was prepared to use troops against South Carolina to enforce a law that most Southerners hated. He blatantly ignored John Marshall’s decision in Worcester v. Georgia, but an argument could be made here that he was acting in favor of democracy in this case, as most white Southerners probably wanted the Cherokee moved off of their land. He was a very complex and fascinating guy, but his critics called him King Andrew for a reason.0.

In a short paragraph, explain how totalitarian leaders used propaganda to strengthen their power during the 1920s and 1930s.
Marizza181 [45]
The propaganda were used to create a false illusion of achievement and success of the leaders at the same time silencing the media not to report the contrary. propaganda tactics ensured that the mass was made to believe in the leadership achievements of these leaders. Whenever there seemed to be a gap between achievements and expectations of the masses, the leaders employed a pacifying form of propaganda known as racism and eugenics in Germany. propagandists leadership also ensured they not only deified the ruler but also presented them as almost undefeatable.

Why did maclay ask that the treaties and other documents mentioned by washington also be read?
Serggg [28]
William Maclay was one of the first two senators under the new federal government that was formed by the Constitution. He wanted and asked that the treaties and other legal documents mentioned by George Washington also be read so the investigation would be fair and just. And it is the right of all parties to know what was the truth.
