Compare the similarities and differences between natural selection and artificial selection
AysviL [449]

Similarities: Natural Selection and Artificial Selection both result in the alteration of the gene pool. It can also change phenotypes of different species'.

Differences: Artificial Selection is when a specific trait is not wanted, and so it is not bred.

For example, humans did not like how yellow peas looked. They liked the healthy looking green better. So, they killed the yellow peas, and bred the green peas with other green pea plants, and right now it is almost completely out of our gene pool.

Natural Selection is when something naturally occurs, such as a natural disaster, famine, plague, invasive species introduction.

For example, if 10 camels lived in a desert, but one of them didn't have as good of a metabolism and stayed full longer, then that one would survive, while the others might not.

Liula [17]

Question 1

Answer:

D- Different nucleotide combinations code for the same amino acid.

Explanation:

Some amino acid has more than one nucleotide combination coding for it.

Question 2

Answer:

B- Redundancy

Explanation:

Redundancy means that more than one codon is assigned for the coding of most amino acids.

Question 3

Answer:

0%

Explanation:

Since both parents are homozygous dominant and recessive respectively, no crossing can give the homozygous dominant as all offspring are heterozygous.

Question 4

Answer:

Homozygous.

Explanation:

The genotype 'dd' is homozygous since the two letters are both in the lower case.

Pie
The answer is letter c. produces protein.
<span>Water, ions and molecules requires for cellular processes, can leave and enter cells through a passive process like diffusion. Diffusion is random movement of molecules yet has a net direction to regions of lower concentration in order to reach a balance. Simple passive diffusion takes place when small molecules pass through the lipid bi-layer of  a cell membrane. Depending on carrier proteins, facilitated diffusion is imbedded to allow certain substances to pass through, which may not be able to diffuse through cell membrane.</span>
