Subordinate.

"Once you finish your work" by itself is not a sentence, therefore it depends on the remaining.

"once you finish your homework." is subordinate because on its own it doesn't make sense but if you were to say "once you finish your home , we will go to the store." that would make it independent.

Answer:

"However, chores are building blocks for a firm foundation."

Explanation:

A metaphor is where one thing is described / compared to another thing, without the use of words such as "like" or "as". It is where one thing is described by directly referring to another.

In this case, "chores" are not actual "building blocks", but are described as being like them, by directly referencing them as building blocks, but without the use of words such as "like" or "as".

Hope this helps!

NOTE: If there is a word such as "like" or "as" (e.g. He was like a lion), than it would be a simile.

Can someone help me with this please
Amanda [17]

Answer:

John was saying by his words that he thought of her sometimes but he wouldn't dare try to go after her again. His tone was kind of rude and I say this because he literally said "I'll cut off my hand."

Abigail was saying for them not to speak another word about anything or she would pretty much kill them with a knife in the dead of night.  Her tone wasn't nearly as nice as John meant his. The words used to say this was "I will come to you in the black of some terrible night and I will bring a pointy reckoning that will shudder you."

Explanation:

I hope this helps!

HELP! What is the difference between a format resume and chronological format resume?
telo118 [61]

Question:

What is the difference between a format resume and chronological format resume?

Answer:

The difference between a chronological and functional resume comes down to format. A chronological resume captures your work experience under each job you have had, from most recent job to oldest job. ... Functional resumes have similar information, but the information is organized differently.
