do cellular work such as active transport across its membrane?
options:

ATP is made in the leaves via photosynthesis and moved to the root.

Sugar is made in the leaves via photosynthesis and moved to the root.

Explanation:

Sugar is made in the leaves via photosynthesis and moved to the root.

Sugars made in the leaves via photosynthesis are stored elsewhere and transported to the root system. They are then available for respiration and oxidative phosphorylation which do not require light energy. The

Photosynthesis is a chemical pathway that’s integral to producing energy in plants and other primary producers. Energy in the form of molecules of glucose is produced from light, water and carbon dioxide while oxygen (from the light reaction) is released.

Further Explanation:

Respiration in the mitochondria utilizes glucose along with oxygen for the production of ATP in the Krebs’s cycle via the oxidization of pyruvate( through the process of glycolysis). Oxidative phosphorylation describes a process in which the NADH and FADH2 made in previous steps of respiration process give up electrons in the electron transport chain these are converted it to their previous forms, NADH+ and FAD. Electrons continue to move down the chain and the energy they release is used in pumping H+ to produce ATP from ATP synthase. At the end of the ETC molecules of oxygen accept electrons and protons to form molecules of water.

How does gulliver treat the lilliputians during the first weeks on the island?
Tpy6a [65]

Gulliver was a surgeon and he was on the ship named “Antelope”. When a violent storm came and the ship sank, all the crew members were engulfed in the ocean. Gulliver somehow managed and swam to the shore.

He was so tired that soon he fell into a deep sleep and when he woke he saw that he was caught and chained by little men called Lilliputians who lived there.

At first, when he tried to free himself, they were frightened of him and fire dozens of arrows in to his chest, hands, and arms but later they treated him very well. Gulliver admitted that first he want that take people in his hand and crush them but when they treated him well, he also treated them well. He was impressed by their nice hospitality they showed.

If we removed the decomposers from this food web, how would it affect the balance of the ecosystem? A.)There would be an increas
Ymorist [56]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

The dead matter from organisms such as plants and animals that die need to be recycled so the nutrients in the matter are released and used up by other organisms. This is how sustainability is achieved in ecosystems through a cyclical nature of nutrients flow. Decomposition of the dead matter is done by decomposers such as fungi and bacteria. Without them, the dead matter would accumulate while the soil would lack nutrients for plants to grow and for other bacteria to utilize for energy. This would affect the rest of the food chain/web causing the ecosystem to collapse.
