Hm... ok so the answer is "C" and here is why:

The reason that "A" is wrong is because it is missing a comma in between > been?"< and >Ronald. Remember a " , " always comes after something surrounded by "\_\_\_\_\_" if the text ends inside the quote and doesn't continue after stating who said it.

"B" is incorrect due to the number of comma's. You do not put a comma after: She said<>He said<> the man replied<> I thought or anything along those lines.

"D" is incorrect in multiple ways, including capitalization. The one reason we can strike it out is the same as "B", with a comma after Fred asked.

Now after all of that said, the only answer left without any noticeable strikes against it is "C".

Please let me know how I did and how accurate you think my answer is, also if you love my answer please make sure mark me Brainliest!

Thanks!
