As far as I know, they do. the idea seems to be to inculcate the pupils (once the poor public, now the wealthy 'cos the facilities are good) in the ideas which the state has. former pupils have been given the strong notion to "serve the state" as a sort of "thank you" for their education.
Should they do this, or should they impartially teach ??? dunno.

According to "Make it New": Early Modernism, why was Ezra Pound so influential to the twentieth-century poetry revolution?
dybincka [34]
C. Pound dared poets to create new forms of poetry. Ezra Pound was a strong proponent in Imagism. Imagism called for free verse usage of a classical values and elements.Pound encouraged poets to willingly experiment with non-traditional verse forms in especially his early writings and Make it New. Mordernism was given its rootings in Imagism, with some artists including Ezra Pound developing an interest in Japanese verse forms and art, which inspired Imagism to create new rhyme forms and freedom with subject matter.

What is ironic about this quote?
Amanda [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. Huck doesn't seem to realize he is a rapscallion like the others.

Explanation:

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a book by American author Mark Twain, and it is considered as the second part of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The widow referred to in the question is Douglas' widow, who cared about Tom and Huck.

Irony is a rhetorical devices that conveys a different meaning (sometimes the opposite) than the words expressed in the text. In the excerpt, we can see how Huck refers to "that gang" and "these rapscallions" as if he were not part of that group; however, since he used to help them, it is reasonable to consider him as part of the group, something he does not realize.
