Driving Under Influence, or more simply drunk driving, is dangerous. It endangers not only the driver but also others sharing the road; like pedestrians, passengers of other cars, and occupants in the drunk driver's car. Many lose their lives or suffer serious injuries due to DUIs.

The legal consequences of drunk driving are also severe. DUI laws vary state by state but many call for mandatory alcohol education, suspended license or even jail time for repeated offenders.

In addition to legal consequences, a drunk driver may lose work time due to the legal proceedings or even the job. If the case becomes public, the driver may lose social respect and feet guilty from damages done to others in the community.

When you dine out and enjoy a drink, always consider alternatives to get home. Take a cab, use public transportation, walking, or have a designated driver. Just do not drink and drive!

Aleks04 [339]

Carl Rodgers describe an individual that has reached his/her full potential by living a life defined by unconditional love, genuineness, openness and empathy as a Fully Functioning Person.

Carl Rogers came up with five things that a fully functioning person has:

1. Be willing to try new things and accept both good and bad feelings. Negative feelings are not ignored; instead, they are dealt with.

2.Existential living means being in touch with different experiences as they happen in life and not judging or making assumptions about them ahead of time. Being able to live in the present and enjoy it fully, instead of always thinking about the past or the future.

3. Trust your feelings: You pay attention to and trust your feelings, instincts, and gut reactions. The right decisions are the ones that people make for themselves, and we should trust ourselves to make the right ones.

4. Creativity: Thinking creatively and taking risks are important parts of a person's life. People don't always play it safe. This means being able to adapt, change, and look for new experiences.

5. A fulfilled life is one in which a person is happy and content with their life, and they are always looking for new things to do and learn.

How did the Phoenicians come to dominate trade in the Mediterranean?
8090 [49]

Answer:

The Phoenicians, based on a narrow coastal strip of the Levant, put their excellent seafaring skills to good use and created a network of colonies and trade centres across the ancient Mediterranean. Their major trade routes were by sea to the Greek islands, across southern Europe, down the Atlantic coast of Africa, and up to ancient Britain. In addition, Arabia and India were reached via the Red Sea, and vast areas of Western Asia were connected to the homeland via land routes where goods were transported by caravan. By the 9th century BCE, the Phoenicians had established themselves as one of the greatest trading powers in the ancient world.
