you are buying a new printer and a new scanner for your computer and you cannot spend over $150. The printer you want costs $80.
ira [324]

It is given in the question that

You are buying a new printer and a new scanner for your computer and you cannot spend over $150. The printer you want costs $80.

Let the price of scanner be $ x .

So we have

x+ 80\leq 150

Subtracting 80 from both sides

x\leq 70

It means , the price should be not more then $70 .

Therefore in case, the price of scanner is $75, then you will not remain within your budget .

Logo y = x means: log base b of y equals x.
True
False
KatRina [158]

If you meant to write \log_{b}(y) = x then the statement is true.

As a more concrete example, something like \log_3(81) = 4 would be read out as "log base 3 of 81 is equal to 4".

A pumpkin weighs 2323 pounds. Each pound can make 1 1/4 cups of pumpkin purée. A pumpkin pie recipe calls for 3/4 of purée per p
julsineya [31]
I think the answer would be 8,518 pumpkin pies ( I would recommend getting a second opinion though )

to find out how many cups of pumpkin puree you have you need to multiply the 2,323 pounds of pumpkin times the amount of puree you can get from a pound.
That's 2,323 × (11÷4) = 2,323 × 2.75 = 6,388.25.
Then to find out how many pies you can make you need to divide the amount of puree you have by the amount required in a pie.
That's 6,388.25 ÷ ( 3÷4) = 6,388.25 ÷ 0.75 = 8,517.66666 ( there are way more sixes ).
You can't make .6 of a pie so you round it up.
You get 8,518.
I hope my answer helped and that it's right .
