The correct answer is A. Neutral

Explanation:

In text, the viewpoint refers to the attitude and position of the author of a text in reference to the main subject, situation or issue being described and that can be classified as neutral if the author only provides facts and does not show a personal attitude towards the situation described or as negative or positive if the author is against or in favor the situation . Additionally, this viewpoint can be identified by the choice of language of the author and the details included in the text.

In the case of the excerpt presented the author uses words such as "according to state weather statistics" and "Reports indicate" that show the author is not taking a position towards the subject but just describing it according to external sources which is also support by the numbers included as in "rainfall levels were also at their lowest point in 32 years", this means the author is not against or in favor of the weather of last summer and therefore the author's viewpoint is mainly neutral.

The author's point of view appears to be neutral. They simply are reporting the facts, and not giving an opinion based response. =)

Writing about something with the purpose of proving or disproving, clarifying, reviewing, or judging its merits is writing intended to "inform" since it seeks the truth. Of course "inform" and "persuade" go hand-in-hand quite frequently.

Why might it be a good idea to have a rule during classroom discussions that
Oksana_A [137]

Answer: B - It will eliminate the stress of having to come up with a response

immediately

Explanation:

This is because students will have time (30 secs) to prep a response to the question, so it relieves the stress of coming up with an answer immediately which may also not be a valid answer, as your mind would have to work fast to extreme measures.

What are pages of violence in the outsiders
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

I'm not sure about the page numbers, specifically, but I can give you a few examples of violence in the book to give you an idea of where in the book to look :)

Explanation:

When Ponyboy is jumped by the Soc's in the very beginning of the book, (just a few pages in), the several rumbles initiated by the gang, when Johnny and Ponyboy are getting beat up in the park, when Johnny kills the Soc, the rumble the gang goes to for Johnny after he dies in the hospital, when Dally is shot by the cops, and that's all I remember, though I'm sure there is more :)

I hope this helped though!!
