Steinbeck was contrevercial and showed such ideas in all of his books. In all of his novels, conreverical ideas from that time period were seen such as Social and Economic issues from every class and race. He worked to diminish the classes and the gap between the wealthy and poor, which was seen as an autroucity in this time period. In his novel "In Dubious Battle" also hinted at ideas of communism, which added to his stacking controversial ideas.

This is the story of my arm
And how it snapped from inside
So listen to this old corrido
and the raw story I may provide

As I took a stroll late last September
Up on the old west Hillside
I tripped on the tail of my tuxedo
Saw my life flash through my eyes

They took me to surgery swiftly
My arm had snapped at my side
It took them three days to mend it
I thought I'd have surely died

What should Armand do to more clearly establish the narrative’s point of view?
zalisa [80]

Answer:

There is not enough information between Mrs. Miller's presentation of Armand's song and the audience's  reaction. If a more lengthy dialogue between Mrs. Miller and the audience  is created, the reader will learn about the reasons that made the audience react in a non -cheerful way, which contradicted Mrs Miller's tone; she had  presented the narrator's song cheerfully in the story.
