The main way b which household disinfectant harm us is that they kill both good and bad bacteria. When good bacteria are also killed, then chances of the growth of bad bacteria increases. Further, due to over application of disinfectants, chances of development of resistance in the bacteria increases.
From your choices, it seems B might be the answer, as Disinfectants are chemicals themselves and they cross skin barrier also, so they must be harmful to the mucous and skin barriers of the skin, penetrate deep into the tissue, travel to the other parts and interfere with body systems.

How does symbiosis benefit the organisms that make up a lichen?
enyata [817]

Answer:

Each organism absorbs minerals produced by the other

Explanation:

Lichen is a symbiotic association between fungi and alga. The fungus is able to absorb essential mineral ions like calcium, phosphate and potassium better than the alga thus benefiting the alga. The fungus in return gets organic materials from the alga. The alga provides organic nutrients for the lichen through photosynthesis and the lichen provides protection from drying out because the alga lives within the fungus's cell wall.

Phasic receptors:
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

a. are quick to adapt to a particular stimulus intensity.

Explanation:

Phasic receptors are the one that first generates an action potential in response to the stimulus. However, they adapt to that intensity of the first stimulus and reduce signaling. Slowly, they even stop signaling irrespective of the presence of stimulus of the same intensity.

This is the reason that we get adapted to the specific odor such as gas leakage after some time even if the leakage continues.
